What is the opportunity?
The Human Resources (HR) Supplier Risk Management Team is the first point of contact for third-party engagements for the HR Function, providing guidance and support related to supplier engagements to all HR teams and partners globally. By joining us for a 8-month position, you will be involved in a variety of challenging assignments, allowing you to become familiar with a wide range of areas across RBC, while also strengthening the skills and knowledge you need to launch a successful career. What will you do?
• Collaborate with Procurement and HR Business Units on contract management, including updates, renewals, and addendums
• Drive special projects and initiatives to completion, including the build-out of an HR Vendor Management intranet platform
• Assist in the completion of supplier risk assessments and required due diligence
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiencies and effectiveness in vendor management across HR and RBC
• Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including HR Business Units, Procurement, and the Functions Supplier Management Office
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
• Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Problem-solving skills, business sense and the ability to multi-task & prioritize
• Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
• Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
• Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and motivated to take initiative in order to identify ways to add value and improve practices
• Highly proficient with the use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Nice-to-have
• Previous experience with supplier/vendor management or procurement

Please note: This posting is for a 8-months Winter 2026 Student placement with a start date of January 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 8-months Student position, you must either:
Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; orIf you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 8-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.Please ensure that you meet these eligibility requirements before applying - candidates who apply but are found to be ineligible are not able to be considered.
