Job Description
The RBC Cards Credit Strategy team is hiring a Credit Strategy Intern. In this position, you will use analytics to develop credit strategies to grow RBC Revenue and manage risk to ultimately optimize portfolio profitability. This includes experimental design, statistical analysis, profitability modelling, data mining and analytics.
What will you do?
Use data mining, profitability modelling and business intuition to inform lending decisions for cards credit programs
Utilize Python and data analysis libraries (Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, and many more) to analyze large datasets and generate meaningful insights.
Support model validation through code documentation, task reproducibility, and general model governance
Support data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data used in analysis
What do you need to succeed?
Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus in one of the following areas: computer science, engineering, mathematics, and statistics. Preferably in third year or pursuing a master’s degree.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to details
Strong communication skills and ability to simplify and explain complex technical concepts
Advanced Programming skills in Python with experience in data science related tools and packages like, Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, etc.
Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
