The Precision Control and Actuation Systems department consists of nearly 150 engineers working collab­oratively with internal and external customers and programs to provide innovative solutions for controlling our products motion, including ground, sea, and air launched vehi­cles used by a variety of end users who depend on the quality and integ­rity of our systems. Our systems in­clude control algorithms and firmware, electronic control units, ac­tuators containing high power mo­tors and precision gear trains, electronic harnessing design, and other components for interfacing with the vehicle and packaging the control assemblies. Due to the highly cross-functional nature of these sys­tems, we are constantly looking for talented engineers with a system-so­lution mindset. This position is for an intern who will be ready to contribute to the PCAS team with innovative solutions for challenging problems of mechanical/control systems and/or harness/interconnects. **What You Will Do** • Participate on CAS (Control Actuation Systems) Development Teams • Perform Mechanical tasks using CAD (CREO) • Conduct Drawing/Document re­lease process • Perform Mechanical Tolerance Analysis us­ing Geometric Dimension and Tolerance best practices • Work with development teams to assess system performance for prototypes **Qualifications You Must Have** • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Post-Graduate by the start of Summer 2026 in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field • Experience utilizing CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools such as CREO or equivalent • Experience with Engineering Analysis and Simulation software and programming tools such as MATLAB and Python **Qualifications We Prefer** • Specific majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline • Knowledge of mechani­cal or electrical design, engineering, and analysis • Knowledge of manufac­turing methods and pro­cesses, including ma­chining, casting, forging, welding, and bonding • Knowledge of mechani­cal drawing practices, dimensioning, and tolerancing **What We Offer** + Our values drive our ac­tions, behaviors, and performance with a vi­sion for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
