Summer Internship Project Overview:
This internship will focus on the development and enhancement of Environmental Compliance Management Systems to support training and education for Safety, Health Environment (SHE), Operations, and Project teams. The intern will work on three critical initiatives:
Site-Specific Waste Management Plans Environmental Impact Files:
Under new corporate policy, every facility is required to have a Site-Specific Waste Management Plan and Environmental Impact Management file (CD-35583). The intern will collaborate with the Environmental Specialist team to develop these plans, focusing on a select number of facilities to provide a comprehensive and impactful learning experience.
Environmental SOP Development for Bulk Sites:
The intern will assist SHE and Environmental Specialists in adapting an effective Environmental SOP template—already successfully implemented at HYCO sites—for Bulk sites with substantial environmental responsibilities. This effort aims to create tools that streamline training, improve education for new managers, and enhance compliance at locations with increased environmental workloads.
Project Compliance Management Tool Development:
The intern will support the design and improvement of tools that aid the environmental operations team in managing compliance for engineering projects. These tools will streamline processes and allow the team to focus on the implementation and refinement of operational compliance systems across various sites.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental compliance strategy, policy implementation, and training system development while contributing to meaningful improvements across Linde’s operational landscape.
The position will be based in Geismar, LA or Deer Park, TX.
