Job Description
Our Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP) members will have an opportunity to leverage best-in-class HR practices to continually construct, deliver and support programs that establish AbbVie as an employer of choice. To develop your foundational experience with AbbVie HRLDP, you will have three 12-month assignments within the following functions:
Business Human Resources supporting one of our functional businesses including Commercial, Corporate Staff Functions, Operations/Manufacturing, Research & Development
Global Talent: Learning & Leadership Development, Organizational Excellence, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management
HR Centers of Excellence (COE): Employee Workplace Relations, Executive Compensation, Global Mobility, Benefits
Over the course of three 12-month rotations, you will gain depth of knowledge and experience with our global people-related processes, programs, and initiatives. This program is crafted to help you develop strong Human Resources functional knowledge and leadership capabilities by working within business functions and on a wide range of projects across multiple business units.
Upon completion of three customized roles, you will be equipped with a series of experiences that have built your capabilities to enter a role in Human Resources.
HRLDP members will be placed AbbVie’s corporate headquarters in Lake County, IL (north suburban Chicago) for their first assignment. After year one, there is the potential for domestic and global assignments. Domestic assignment sites could include Irvine, CA, South San Francisco, CA, Waco, TX, and/or Worcester, MA. Global assignments are possible after the completion of at least one successful US-based rotation. All rotational assignments are prioritized based on business need and then individual preference’s will be considered.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be currently enrolled in university and completing final year of a Master's degree program in Human Resources or related field.
Must graduate with Master’s degree prior to the intended full-time start date.
Previous business-related internships or HR experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
Global mindset to thrive in a diverse culture and environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
