Program Structure:

Participants will apply classroom lessons in a real-world setting. Summer interns will learn about Linde Inc.'s Linde Gases US business, products, processes, and functions. The participant will be given a work assignment in our operations group. Interns will also be partnered with a mentor. The scope of the internship program will allow participants to provide value to the organization by completing a well-defined, key project by the end of their internship.

Summer Internship Project Overview:

The intern will be responsible for building and preparing replacement Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems for plants in the South region as part of planned hardware upgrades. Key duties include installing and configuring the required software on computers, followed by validation in a simulation environment to ensure functionality and reliability. The project will begin with hands-on training alongside an experienced OESC engineer, with the goal of transitioning to independent work as confidence and proficiency develop. Once the systems are fully prepared and tested, they will be packaged and shipped to South region sites for installation. This project provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable technical experience in HMI systems while contributing to critical plant operations.

The position will be based in Deer Park, TX.
