Job Description:

Northrop Grumman Aeronautical Systems is seeking an Associate Project Management position to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This project management position will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) located in Melbourne, FL. We are seeking a highly motivated and extremely detail-oriented individual, with an eagerness to learn. The selected candidate should have a willingness to explore new project management techniques and develop them in a team environment. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. There is no teleworking option available.  

Responsibilities: 

Oversee and support the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, the project team, and line management. Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Serve as a control account manager (CAM) for integrated product teams. Maintain various metrics and develops associated dashboards for presentations. Tool and metric development, and management of small projects within the larger program and business area. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.  Support of internal and customer meetings including meeting presentation collection, and content generation, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up.  Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop customer relationships and customer intimacy. Making travel arrangements and completing expense reports. Managing calendars. Scheduling meetings and arranging conference rooms and video/audio. Assisting with organizing and arranging major organization events. Developing and maintaining organization charts. Ordering office supplies, computers, and telephones. Prepare work instructions and checklists for project management tasks.  

Basic Qualifications:

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2025.Be majoring in or having majored in a Business Administration, Finance, Management or similar degree program.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.

Preferred Qualifications:  

Active DoD Secret Clearance Demonstrated project management skills to included the use of Earned Value Management principles. Experience in contracts executing full earned value management.  Experience using Microsoft (MS) Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Experience following work instructions and process documents to learn how to complete standardized tasks. 

Pay Range:

Associate Project Management (A01): $52,800 - $79,200The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date. However, this timeline may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
