SUMMARY

Primarily responsible for hands-on day-today operational leadership, ensuring schedule obtainment and that quality parts are produced in a safe and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that manufacturing areas are running at optimum efficiency and according to schedule.Set-up and troubleshoot equipment and material problems.Report any difficulties or problems requiring special attention to engineering / management.Strive for continuous improvement within the department.Provide prompt, accurate documentation of machine, material, or tooling problems to appropriate functional area for resolution.Maintain records as required from proper execution of responsibility.Works toward resolving problems systematically using appropriate problem-solving tools and techniques, i.e., DOE, capability studies, etc.Take a proactive approach to ensure working/processing environment meets level of expectations always and reports discrepancies, i.e. housekeeping, machine condition, material, tooling and personal competence. Ability to cross-train in other areas, including metal finish, sandblasting, rigid assembly, and paint.Perform first piece inspection and sign-offs.All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of HS Diploma or equivalentStrong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work effectively both in groups as well as independentlyEffective problem resolution skills and excellent attention to detail3+ years of manufacturing experiencesEffective computer skills including ERP, Microsoft Office toolsHave a desire for continuous improvement and growthAbility to work within a deadline under pressure and handle interruptionsExperience creating standard operating procedures, work instructions and/or other training toolsDrive for results, ability to flex with an emphasis on keeping customer and business commitments
