1st Shift Maintenance Technician 1 M-F

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician I to join our Lebanon, TN team. In this role, you'll work to maintain machinery to ensure safety and productivity in the workplace.  In our collaborative and team-oriented environment, your ability to diagnose and spearhead improvements will help us all reach our safety and productivity goals.

Address: 625 Maddox Simpson Parkway Lebanon, Tennessee   

This shift is scheduled for 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Monday- Friday

 

What We Do – Accountabilities

Ensures safe and efficient operation of the distribution center equipment by: Proactive preventive maintenance of equipment Quick reaction to breakdowns so there is minimal mechanical downtime Ensuring all OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory safety requirements are met or exceeded, including documenting inspections. Performs fire system inspections Follows prescribed processes and procedures to maximize equipment readiness and velocity of product within the distribution center by: Monitoring interior and exterior of facility and conducting equipment repairs as needed. Partnering to fix or update systems when necessary. Ensures effective production support, both proactively and reactively through: Regular monitoring of equipment Following up with equipment users after a repair or system upgrade is implemented.

 

Essential Functions

Department Safety – responsible for following all safety guidelines. With a strong emphasis on: Lock-out Tag-out, Fall protection, OSHA compliance. Obtain and maintain a PIV (powered industrial vehicle) licenses to operate all PIV equipment associated with the warehouse within 90 days of employment. Coordinate the activities of maintenance, PIV, facilities and grounds maintenance contractors. Perform repairs on buildings and equipment associated with warehouse operation and buildings. Mechanical and general building maintenance skills. Ability to perform appropriate diagnostics and repairs referring to suitably qualified contractors if/as required. Basic working knowledge and preventative of mechanical and electrical systems. Basic preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment. Perform fabrication and restoration assignments.  Able to perform basic fabrication tasks. Knowledge of carpentry, building, welding, decoration. Working knowledge of Energy Management Systems. Interaction with automated handling control systems. Detect safety hazards and plan/organize safe solutions. Can work independently or as part of a team. Lead projects and effectively direct the efforts of others through the course of the project. Maintain expected level of cleanliness in all assigned work areas. Maintain maintenance records as required. Coordination of third party specialist contractors. Routine testing of fire sprinkler systems. Basic grounds maintenance and snow shoveling/salting. On Target performance of all tasks listed and other duties as assigned. Periodic training / retraining / certification as appropriate

                                                                                                                                                              

Preferred Qualifications & Education

Previous facilities maintenance or maintenance technician experience 2-3 years Previous success in completing mechanical / electrical training programs Training qualifications in maintenance disciplines Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance at all times Ability to lift 50 pounds and physically fit High School Diploma/GED required
