Job Summary:
The Scale-Receiving Attendant position is responsible for attending truck scales and assisting with sampling in our commodity receiving area, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position performs a variety of operational, recordkeeping and clerical tasks to support feed making operations. Job involves sitting, climbing, stand, walk, kneel and bend. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Good attendance and the ability to work a 40 plus hour work week is essential. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet, hot, cold and/or humid conditions. There may be exposure to truck and trailer traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. May be required to work in a dusty environment at times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for operating truck scale ensuring that all incoming and outgoing trucks are weighed accurately.Collect samples and perform quality testing as required.Monitor commodity deliveries.Directs Truck Drivers in the distribution of their loads and directs them to the correct locations.Responsible for keeping the Supervisor and feed mill team informed of all incoming trucks and traffic flow.Ensure all paperwork (weight tickets, RUPP forms, and billing of lading) are signed and completed.Duties include assisting with the organization of filing and distribution of the paperwork received at the site.Maintain scale house and keep grounds clean/organized according to company 6S program.Perform cleaning inside scale house and around the outside of the scale house building.Assist feed operations with inventories.Support Administrative Assistant with data entry and filing.Operate forklift as needed.Observes safety rules and attends appropriate training.Performs other duties as assigned by Feed Mill Mgt.Must have the ability to communicate effectively, read and comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Data Entry preferred.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
