Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our plant in Brea, California. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and upkeep tasks to maintain a safe, functional, and efficient work environment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to detail.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment, including but not limited to:Plumbing (e.g., repairing leaks, unclogging drains)Electrical (e.g., replacing light bulbs and ballasts, troubleshooting minor issues)Carpentry (e.g., minor repairs to doors, walls, and furniture)Painting and touch-upsHVAC system maintenance (e.g., filter changes, basic troubleshooting)General building repairs and upkeepConduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and safety hazards, and take appropriate action to address them.Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces.Perform general groundskeeping tasks, such as light landscaping, trash removal, and ensuring walkways are clear and safe.Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services, as needed.Assist with the implementation of safety procedures and protocols.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.Respond promptly to facility-related requests and issues reported by employees.Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the facilities department.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in a related field is a plus.Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly aerospace, is preferred.Working knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.Ability to read and interpret basic maintenance manuals and instructions.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical, HVAC).Experience with building management systems (BMS).Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.

Compensation

$22/hr.-$32/hr. *Based on experience*
