**1st Shift - Cleanroom Technician - $20/hr** **Job Description** Join an innovative team as a Mechanical Assembly Technician where you will perform critical mechanical assembly tasks, contribute to cutting-edge medical device development, and have the opportunity to grow with a company on the brink of public offering. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical assembly and build units independently. + Execute wire soldering and conduct visual inspections. + Engage in microscope assembly and small-scale manual dexterity tasks. + Review documents, update computer records, and manage raw material logs. + Interpret and execute non-standard build requests and instructions from engineering. + Collaborate with operators on small side projects and process improvements. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in mechanical assembly and soldering. + Experience with batch record and prototype assembly. + Capability to lift 25 lbs and adjust between sitting and standing throughout the day. + Strong manual assembly skills for small product assembly. + Familiarity with hand tools, multimeter, pipetting, and laboratory environments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in cartridge assembly and reagent manufacturing kit assembly. + Experience with non-standard builds and innovative manufacturing processes. + Strong documentation skills and experience with paper-based systems. + Ability to communicate effectively and give feedback to engineering and leadership. + Willingness to learn and collaborate in a dynamic team environment. **Why Work Here?** This is an exciting opportunity to join a Series C startup focused on wearable biosensors, offering full benefits and stock options. Saturday hours are from 7am to 2pm, with advance notice for overtime. Wear protective attire including gowns, masks, gloves, and shoe covers. Be prepared to learn over 100 different processes, stay focused on tasks, and adapt to changing build schedules. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
