Job Details:
The Accounting Administrator for Time and Attendance is responsible for maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, hours worked, and leave taken. This role ensures compliance with company policies and labor regulations, providing critical support to the HR department in managing workforce timekeeping efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Record Keeping: Accurately enter and update employee attendance records, including hours worked, overtime, and leave taken.
Time Tracking: Monitor and verify timekeeping data from various sources, such as time clocks, manual logs, and electronic systems.
Payroll Support: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate processing of employee pay based on recorded hours.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, labor laws, and regulations regarding timekeeping and attendance.
Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on attendance, absenteeism, and other relevant metrics to management.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve discrepancies in timekeeping records and respond to employee inquiries regarding attendance and leave.
Documentation: Maintain organized and secure records of all timekeeping and attendance data.
Training: Assist in training employees on timekeeping procedures and the use of time tracking systems.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Accounting, HR, or related field is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years’ experience in payroll or time and attendance within a manufacturing or corporate environment preferred.
Skills:
Proficiency in using timekeeping software and systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Familiarity with labor laws and regulations related to timekeeping and attendance
