Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Structural Fitter with a strong background in industrial structural fitting, assembly, and welding. The ideal candidate will be skilled in blueprint interpretation, precision measurements, and structural system assembly. This role involves preparing, fitting, and tacking various materials, ensuring all components meet strict tolerance requirements, and contributing to the safe and efficient erection of structural systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints, job specifications, and measurement targets to construct complete structural systems.Cut, prep, fit, and tack materials such as HSS box tubes, angles, W-members, and flat plates using various tools.Select and operate tools including torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and saws to prepare surfaces for welding.Install structural hangers, supports, and braces from temporary setup to final installation.Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely, following proper rigging techniques.Lead and direct two or more helpers, ensuring productivity and safety.Document quality control reports in accordance with SEA Quality Standards.Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA PPE requirements.Participate in training, inspections, and peer reviews as needed.Required Skills & Qualifications6+ years of experience in industrial structural fitting.Proficient in tack welding.Vocational or technical training preferred.Strong understanding of blueprint reading, job specs, and structural alignment (true/plumb/square).Ability to work with various materials and structural components to precise tolerances.Skilled in using hand and power tools for metal preparation.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.Top SkillsStructural FittingFabricationBlueprint ReadingWelding Preparation

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
