Meet the Team 

Government Security Services (GSS) is looking for a Data Center Engineer to work in several secure environments to build, deploy, and support mission essential networks. This candidate must have a TS/SCI. The successful candidate will work closely with a team supporting our government customers by delivering innovative and compliant technical solutions tailored to their mission-critical needs. 

Your Impact 

The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable solutions in government environments. This role involves providing day-to-day customer service to end users within the facility and ensuring seamless network operations. The individual will serve as the primary engineering resource for a customer base of 20-30 users, addressing their technical needs and ensuring optimal network performance.

Network Design and Maintenance: Building and maintaining physical networks to ensure connectivity and reliability Customer Support: Providing exceptional customer service by troubleshooting network and end user related issues Collaboration: Be the bridge between the end users and the Government customer support system.

 

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise network environments DoD 8570 level III certification or DoD 8140 equivalent Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANS and VPNs Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls Familiarity with network security tools and best practices (e.g., firealls, intrustion detection/prevention systems)

 

Preferred Qualifications (Provide up to five (5) bullet points:  these can include soft skills)

Relevant certifications, such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or other networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+). Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) Experience in disaster recovery planning and network redundancy strategies
