Job Description:
About the Role:As the Relief Person you will learn Dryer Operator, Dryer Material Handler, QA Lab Tech, Hot Mix Operator, and Quadcone. At the Wayland location you will provide support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Dryer Operator:
Demonstrate the ability to understand the drying operation, including the adjustments necessary to operate the Dryer within the specifications of individual formulas.Must have the ability to accurately perform basic quality control testing at the Dryer.Must have the ability to accurately complete all associated paperwork.Must be able to lead C.I.P. effort on Dryer equipment.Must be able to effectively lead the Dryer #2 team.Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, foods safety programs and all other policies established by Bay Valley Foods.Perform other duties as assigned.Dryer Material Handler:
Be able to learn to operate lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner.Must be able to read a production schedule and supply components and ingredients to the proper workstations without interruptions to production.Must be able to keep accurate and legible records.Must be able to keep up speed to keep dryer in operation.Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACaCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.Perform other duties as assigned.QA Lab Tech:
Individual must be able to identify, analyze, communicate and correct Quality problems on all operations.Individual must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, must be able to maintain accurate, legible records.Individual must possess strong math skills and be able to calculate percentages, averages, change formulas and calculations.Perform accurate Quality testing such as fats, solids and all related Quality testing with correct mathematical results.Be able to perform and understand microbiological testing.Must possess basic computer skills and possess willingness and aptitude to learn.Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.Perform other duties as assigned.Hot Mix Operator:
Must be able to correctly weigh ingredients in both grams and pounds.Must understand the importance of adding ingredients to blender in the proper order.Must be able to learn all blending operations for all products.Must be able to keep accurate records.Must be able to blend at a rate, which will keep the drying operations going.Must be able to C.I.P. and clean related blending equipment.Must be able to perform related jobs and other duties as assigned.Must be able to lift fifty (50)-plus (+) pounds.Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.Perform other duties as assigned.Quadcone:
Ability to weigh ingredients using Metric/American weight conversion.The ability to accurately perform basic Quality Control testing for the Quadcone Department.Ability to cross-training in Littleford blending is required.Must demonstrate the ability to legibly and accurately complete all associated record keeping necessary for the Pharmaceutical Industry.Must be able to maintain or exceed established line efficiencies.Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, and foods safety programs established by Bay Valley Foods.Perform other duties as assigned.Important Details:
This is a full-time position, working Thursday through Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
1st shift operates 8am to 4pm2nd shift operates 4pm to 12am3rd shift operates 12am to 8amShift differential included for 2nd and 3rd shift.
