Incorporate the Purchasing vision into all elements of the plan. Recognize subject matter experts on Purchasing processes, tools and applications. Manage a team of direct and indirect resources to effectively support the execution of the strategy deployment plans. Contributes to multi-functional, regional or global assignments. **Detailed Description** Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following: ▪ Responsible for managing regional / mega site purchase materials for multiple manufacturing operation sites to support customer business needs. ▪ Supervises weekly Purchasing KPI performance trend and execution. ▪ Ensures purchasing prime drive due diligent & escalation with materials are available to meet manufacturing build requirements. ▪ Addresses and resolves possible material shortages. ▪ Short and long term manpower planning and reassigns personnel as necessary to optimize work distribution across in-charge teams. ▪ Acts as a liaison with internal operation to ensure high level supply base commitments are met as Cost & productivity tracking with optimizing manpower support to business requirements and needs. ▪ Maintains responsibility for performance management, development, recognition, coaching and compensation of employees. ▪ Reassigns personnel as necessary to optimize work. ▪ Manages the administration of all site purchasing contracts and agreements (Flexibility program contract & etc.). ▪ Escalation point on critical shortages and collaboration with site Ops on solutions to close gaps in shortages and optimization of inventory. ▪ Manages overall relationship with and performance of suppliers. ▪ Reviews supplier performance and makes recommendations on changes or disqualifications. ▪ Communicates internally committed delivery schedule for purchased materials required in production. ▪ Supervises and maintains communications with suppliers through SCM Tools (CSC, EDI, email solution). ▪ Escalation point on dispute from kick off flexibility program (SMI) and drive meeting responsibility commodity Ring % performance report. ▪ Participates in business process improvements to help achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment. ▪ Responsible for Celestica compliance with internal and external audits in alignment with procedures and policies. Celestica compliance with customs and regulatory laws. ▪ Directly manages a group of SCM employees including employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition. ▪ Aligns with Corporate goals, develops measurements and manages resources to achieve these goals. ▪ Responsible for the team execution for deployment and mitigation of OAR in Inventory Entitlement according to the Quotes for each of their customers in the operation sites. ▪ Addresses the supplier's performance to CM on service & collaborative support to customer business needs. ▪ Acts as the Procurement Ops Lead during absence of lead or assigned ad hoc task representing the lead. **Knowledge/Skills/Competencies** ▪ In-depth knowledge and understanding of global supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management. ▪ Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes. ▪ Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications. ▪ Knowledge in Operating system ERP, SCM sub application related to supplier collaboration & communication beside Reports & analysis application basics. ▪ Manages overall relationship with internal Ops with high level of collaboration and team performance. ▪ Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills. ▪ Strong communication and presentation skills. ▪ Significant skills required in multi-tasking and time management. ▪ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. ▪ Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees. ▪ Ability to manage e resources by mobilizing and reassigning personnel as necessary to optimize work. Headcount justification & manpower Cost optimization with business needs. ▪ Provides direct and indirect supervision of employees in a division/department or provides advice on policy issues and consults with others in area of expertise. ▪ Communication in English (speaking and writing), communication skills & collaboration & lead project skills. ▪ Knowledge of purchasing processes and procedures, market insights for assigned commodities. Other processes within centralizing Procurement and site operations **Physical Demands** Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties of this position require continuous light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motion, standing, sitting in a confined work space, Occasional overnight travel is required. **Typical Experience** ▪ 10+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Typical Education** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline, or an equivalent proven track record in an EMS or similar environment **Notes** This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
