The Quality Assurance Supervisor ensures that the business complies with all relevant quality assurance and food safety standards as well as applicable codes and regulations. This position is responsible for facilitating, developing, and implementing systems, such as quality assurance processes, procedures, and standards to maintain consistency and meet the gold standard of the food products. Additionally, the QA Supervisor must lead with behaviors that cherish the quality and food safety culture and build strong relationships in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
-Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the company's quality assurance systems.
-Develop, manage, and maintain the annual schedule of quality assurance activities.
-Supervise the QA Laboratory operations, including all related programs, procedures, and personnel.
-Assist in the verification and validation of quality and food safety prerequisite programs.
-Provide necessary resources, tools, and support to the QA team to ensure effective performance.
-Train, mentor, and lead the QA team in quality processes, standards, and compliance expectations.
-Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company quality standards, and customer specifications.
-Manage and maintain the document control system to ensure accurate and current documentation.
-Participate in internal and external audits, supporting compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
-Coordinate investigations of deviations and non-conformities, leading root cause analyses and edfining corrective and preventive actions. Ensure timely execution and follow-up on action plans.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality system to meet performance KPIs.
-Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as well as Quality and Food Safety guidelines.
-Maintain and verify Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) compliance.
-Manage customer and consumer complaints, including resolution and communication with relevant stakeholders.
-Promote and enforce company safety policies, reporting any unsafe conditions or behaviors to management.
-Perform other duties as assigned by management.
