1 Assistant (Superintendente de Turno)

Airswift is seeking a 1 Assistant (Shift Superintendent) to work on a permanent contract in Rio de Janeiro with a major Oil & Gas Company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting the Offshore Construction Manager in the interdisciplinary coordination of all work on board;
- Supervising the team of foremen and supervisors with regard to the various disciplines/categories of construction and assembly work, to meet quality and safety standards;
- Coordinate construction activities during the shift and optimize all production phases;
- Ensuring that the Offshore Construction Manager is kept fully informed of possible problems and construction status;
- Resolve issues related to coordination, priority and interface between the different disciplines to meet project scopes;
- Ensure that the work permit system for the construction team is respected and ensure that daily toolbox talks and JSAs, if necessary, are carried out in accordance with procedures;
- Motivate all construction teams/subcontractors in relation to health, safety and environmental awareness;
- Ensure compliance with the standards dictated by Saipem's QHSE safety policies and procedures to carry out activities safely;
- Reporting incidents and near misses;
- Manage crane operations, including coordination with the Chief Mate for major crane movements on board, ROV, launch and underwater operations
- Assist marine operations if necessary;
- Provide a construction report at the end of each shift;
- Assist the Vessel Field Engineer in monitoring the equipment and consumables for the design, operation and monitoring of the stinger and JLT;
- Ensure that the mooring equipment used is in date and properly marked;
- Reporting to the Offshore Construction Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in civil, mechanical, electrical or naval engineering, we may consider other technical degrees depending on experience.
Fluent English (Required)
Previous experience in the oil and gas sector or in a similar role.
