Position Summary: MVRCS seeks a passionate, mission-driven History Teacher to lead large-group instruction for students in Grades 1–6. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in history or a related field, a dedication to student achievement, and enthusiasm for teaching within a rigorous academic setting. As an integral member of grade-level teams, the teacher will focus on high expectations, data-informed instruction, and continuous collaboration to refine teaching practices and drive student growth. Deliver engaging, standards-aligned large-group History instruction to students in Grades 1–6. Design and implement assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions. Utilize student performance data to differentiate lessons and ensure mastery of content. Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area teams to align curriculum and share best practices. Maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment with clear academic and behavioral expectations. Foster a growth mindset and take full ownership of student learning outcomes. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, families, and colleagues. Participate fully in a three-week summer orientation and ongoing professional development throughout the school year.
