Job description 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: £90-£100 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our supportive and vibrant team at a primary school in Northampton. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional learning needs, helping them to reach their full potential in an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their full inclusion in classroom activities.
-Work closely with teachers to adapt lesson plans and resources to meet the needs of individual students.
-Support students in small group work and one-on-one interventions, assisting with their academic and social development.
-Help to manage student behavior in a positive and constructive way.
-Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to teaching staff and parents.
-Foster a supportive, caring, and safe environment for students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and speech and language difficulties.
The Ideal Candidate:
-Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting (experience in SEN is preferred but not essential).
-A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with a variety of learning needs.
-Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-A genuine passion for education and making a positive impact in children's lives.
-An understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
-A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not required.
