Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Engineering Advisor to join our team in Chennai. This critical role will be responsible for a wide range of operational and procurement support activities, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services within our organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess excellent communication skills, and be adept at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Detailed Description

Responsibilities:

Procurement & Vendor Management: Obtain and analyze vendor quotations for various goods and services. Conduct thorough vendor quotation comparisons to identify the most competitive and suitable options. Facilitate the complete vendor registration process, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and compliant. Generate and submit purchase requests in accordance with company policies and procedures. Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Manage cash purchases as required, maintaining accurate records. Maintain meticulous records for all local procurements, international procurements, and internal shipments between sites. Track and manage product loans from vendors, ensuring proper documentation and return. Logistics & Inventory: Track domestic and international shipments, providing regular updates on their status. Coordinate and oversee customs clearance processes for international shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Support asset maintenance activities, including tracking and scheduling. Process & System Support: Create and manage tickets within the ServiceNow platform for various operational issues and requests. Assist with the Capex (Capital Expenditure) process, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to guidelines Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Strong understanding of procurement processes, including vendor selection, quotation analysis, and purchase order management. Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems. Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and international shipping logistics. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Demands Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required. Typical Experience Ten years relevant experience. Typical Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 10 years of proven experience in an operations support, procurement, or administrative role.
