Job Description

ABOUT LEAD:

The LEAD program is an accelerated growth career program that takes two years on average and emphasizes your experience in leadership and career development. The program has a comprehensive framework, depending on your chosen field, that covers on-the-job training through sub-functional and cross-functional rotations, stretch assignments and learning and training. 

When you embark on your journey with us, you will participate in two-week onboarding programs to learn about the company and all important areas of the organization. You will also be guided by various managers at different stages of the project and coached by a mentor who is usually a leader of the organization.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be assessed on your overall performance and, if performing well, will be offered a job placement. You will also be paired with a program associate who will serve as a buddy to provide mutual support throughout the journey.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

As LEAD Associate, Product Management

You will begin your journey in the Product Management function within the PM Team to learn about, 

Product portfolio management skills, including multi-generation product plan, product strategic plan, new product development, product line extension and re-engineering, portfolio simplification, product values building, product document management (datasheet).

Product innovation and new product launch, including new product sale tracking, middle & long-term product plan, product technical platform build-up, establish good working relationship with cross function team (R&D, Technical, SC, Marcom,.).

Go-to-market strategy, work with segment market team to identify end-user market opportunity, work with sales team on converter partnership for product to market and new unmet need.

Pricing management, based on product positioning and value proposition, decide price for different customer segments, monitor competitor price as well as raw material cost change and supply dynamic.

Develop and deliver product line AOP ( Annual Operating Plan) with clear strategy and execution.

P&L management, responsible for the product line P&L, with the combination of sale growth, pricing strategies, mitigate material inflation on supplier management, cost-out and operation the related initiatives (MOE, scrap, freight …).

Work with Procurement, SDM, Sales to engage with suppliers, end-users and direct-customers.

Subsequently, you will rotate through various departments such as Sales, Operations, Procurement and R&D. These rotations are designed to equip you with comprehensive knowledge and skills, enabling you to excel in Product Management and gain a deep understanding of Avery Dennison's businesses. 

Each rotation can vary from 2 to 8 months depending on the projects and tasks assigned to you.

You will be working on live crucial projects that impact our day to day business.

You will develop your technical, functional and leadership skills in Product Management.

Other than a line manager, you will be assigned a Mentor to guide you in your career development and navigate the organisation.

Essential skills and requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical, Material or Packaging Engineering/Technology is required.

Fresh graduates and recent graduates with less than 2 years of working experience

First Class or Upper Second Class grades (at least 75%)

Proficiency in both written and spoken local language and English is required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Quick and sharp minded
