The Thin Films business unit of Electronics has the ambition to drive information access, interpretation of insights, and action of our operations based on a digital landscape of our processes and systems. As Digital Transformation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our digital transformation vision at the Thin Films China site by, transforming digital workflows into daily operation, enabling data access across our processes or sites, driving innovative and standardized digital solutions, improving processes through data and data analytics. The role is to bridge the gap between traditional manufacturing and digital/IT solutions, using advanced digital tools and techniques to enable connected plant and realize the paperless operations and develop the technology roadmap towards smart manufacturing.

Your Role:

Focus on integrating digital workflows into daily operations

Collaborate with operational teams to understand and prioritize user requirements, formulate clear development roadmaps aimed at improving quality, increasing labor efficiency, and/or maximizing production capacity in a standardized way.

Leverage advanced technologies and analytics to level up site digital maturity

Support digital tool adoption within the business through upskilling, training, and engagement initiatives.

Collaborate with global team and bring good practice

Oversee and map out digital plant target data flow from shop floor devices to back-end systems, and design a general data flow in terms of overall production process value chain to ensure data interoperability and achieve paperless factory operations.

Oversee the deployment of digital/IT solutions like MES, EBR, Data Historian, etc., ensuring they meet performance, cost, and timeline requirements.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including plant managers, engineers, software vendors, and contractors, to ensure project goals are met.

Present digital plant concepts, progress, and results to non - technical stakeholders, translating complex technical information into understandable terms.

Who you are:

A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or industrial), computer science, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in digital plant solutions design and implementation.

Proven experiences with MES, EBR, Data Historian, and digital workers technology.

Familiarity with IoT technologies, data analytics, and machine learning concepts.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills of communications, coordination, and facilitations to work closely with cross-functional teams like production, engineering, automation, OT and IT teams.

Strong analytical and problem - solving skills compared with Good skills of project management.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# for data process (data engineering, statistical modeling, and data visualization ) and system integration.
