Description and Requirements Restricted Party Screening (RPS) is a vital component of international trade compliance that involves conducting thorough checks on individuals, organizations, and entities before engaging in any business transactions. RPS aims to ensure that Lenovo does not unknowingly engage with restricted or prohibited parties, such as terrorists, money launderers, or entities involved in nuclear proliferation. RPS can mitigate the risk of violating trade regulations and facing severe penalties.
Lenovo is currently seeking an export compliance specialist with particular focus on restricted party screening. The specialist position is part of Lenovo’s Global Trade Compliance team. The trade compliance specialist is responsible to supporting all aspects of Lenovo’s trade compliance program.
Job Responsibilities: - Restricted Party Screening: Prevent prohibited transactions with denied/restricted parties - Processing of daily export/import operational transactions - Responsible for monitoring queues and disposition thereof in a timely manner ensuring that all items are worked through to completion or escalated as necessary - Perform due diligence checks and clearances on blocked orders and parties while monitoring blocked order queues - Review transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance - Support export controls - ECCN classification and general license knowledge - Conduct internal audits and reviews - Prepare compliance reporting, dashboards - Perform other duties as assigned - Manage a diverse workload which may include changes in priorities and responsibilities
Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Minimum 3-4 years’ experience with international trade and/or customs compliance experience - Knowledge of denied parties and sanctioned country laws and regulations - Knowledge of US, China, EU, and other country government screening, sanctions, embargoes lists, etc. - Must have good knowledge and experience with export control regulations - Experience with general licensing determination and ECCN classification a plus - Capable of research, understand, and interpret legal regulations - Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills - Proficiency with MS Office applications - Experience with SAP ECC/S4 & GTS helpful - Experience with restricted party screening tools/software - Proficiency in English; spoken and written - Ability to travel  Additional Locations:  * China * China
