Your Key Responsibilities
Global Position Name: Supplier Quality Eng. (SQMS)
Participate in technical reviews, Risk Level Assessments (RLA), and sourcing decision meetings to ensure alignment and comprehensive evaluations. Lead and ensure the implementation of all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) elements according to industry standards at supplier sites, fostering best practices and adherence to project timelines. Monitor and manage On-Time Delivery (OTS), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) production, focusing on measurement harmonity, Reliability @ Risk (R@R) audits, and the initiation and monitoring of corrective actions based on findings. Oversee and manage the safe launch plan process, ensuring that all safety and quality checkpoints are meticulously followed. Conduct supplier audits including product audits, fly audits, and process audits; implement corrective actions based on audit findings, driving continuous improvement at supplier facilities. Develop improvement plans for key or focus suppliers, collaborating with them to follow through on these initiatives effectively. Execute and coordinate internal measures in response to supplier complaints, including management of blocked materials and in-depth problem analysis. Coordinate complaint corrective actions using the 8D methodology, ensuring that issues are addressed systematically and sustainably. Develop sorting Work Instructions (WI) for critical spare parts, ensuring comprehensive sorting processes and engaging third-party sorting services where required. Your Qualifications Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundational knowledge of engineering principles. 5+ years of supplier quality management experience within the automobile industry. 5+ years of experience specifically in gear or shaft manufacturing, showcasing a familiarization with relevant manufacturing processes and technical problem-solving techniques. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and international standards, including customer quality requirements such as IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and 8D. Exceptional problem-solving skills, critical for addressing complex quality issues effectively. Strong process improvement knowledge and skills, including Lean methodologies and Six Sigma principles, to drive efficiency and effectiveness within quality processes. Excellent communication and coordination capabilities, essential for liaising with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships with suppliers. A resilient personality, capable of working effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of performance. Proficiency in English, ensuring clear communication across diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong skills in PC applications, particularly Microsoft Office programs, to manage documentation and reporting accurately.
