Job Description

As a Software Developer within our Parking Systems team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions for Ultrasonic Sensor (USS) and Near Range Camera (NRC) based parking systems for Japanese OEM customers. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and debugging parking assistance software features (Park Pilot, Mis-acceleration avoidance system, Emergency brake system, automated parking assist system, e.g. attached video)
• Analyzing system requirements and creating software specifications in collaboration with customers
• Designing and implementing software architecture using C/C++
• Performing log analysis and software debugging for running series projects
• Developing new Japanese local software algorithms (including AI)
• Conducting software testing, including unit verification and integration testing
• Participating in technical discussions with customers and supporting acquisition activities
• Contributing to pre-development activities for new local functions and demonstrations
• Supporting vehicle setup and testing activities

Qualifications

Your Profile (Must):
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in automotive software development
• Strong understanding of ADAS technologies, including sensor fusion, perception, planning, and control
• Strong programming skills in C/C++
• Experience with software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills in English and Japanese
• Onsite working in the Bosch Japan office (Hybrid with HO), sometimes going to the business troip

Your Profile (Preferred):
• Experience with parking assistance systems or ADAS features
• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or Julia
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols
• Experience with ultrasonic sensors or camera-based systems
• Understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles
• Knowledge of automotive safety standards and regulations (e.g. ASIL, SOTIF, ISO, UN-Reg) and software development processes (e.g., ASPICE)
• Project management experience, including:

Leading technical projects in automotive software developmentStakeholder management with OEM customersProject planning and schedulingRisk management and mitigationTeam coordination and leadership
