Job DescriptionMaterial field strategy and global bundling

Implement global and/ or area material field strategy for Vietnam

Support in bundling of area / global material field demands, establish VN suppliers for export business

Central contact person for material field buyers for all VN related supplier / country topics

Supplier scouting and selection

Supplier scanning, evaluation and selection for projects according to selected focus products in Vietnam

Conduct Rapid Plant Assessment, CSR Quick scan

Supplier Management

Yearly supplier assessment and evaluation (Cost, Quality, Logistic etc.)

Crisis and Risk Management (SCRM procedure)

Supplier development and / or improvement (SD or SQIP) together with PUQ function

SRM supplier master data management and update (certificate, contact details etc.)

Supplier mentor for assigned suppliers in Vietnam

Supplier escalation management (where applicable)

Supplier logistic performance management (VSL, VBL, capacity planning)

Sourcing and contract management

Execute annual price negotiations (RFQ, negotiation, documentation)

Award range extensions (Negotiation, Sourcing Decision and CoQ)

Participate in (global) tender activities (where applicable)

Responsibility for all relevant contracts: Purchasing agreement, T&C, QAA, LOG agreement etc.

Perform contract renewals and update prices in respective system    

Planning and reporting

Target business plan- measurement planning and target fulfillment

Creation and updating of RPP tracking file

Rolling PICO update & Regional input for Current Forecast (CF) procedure

QualificationsBachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years in direct material procurement within machinery manufacturing, automation, or other highly regulated industries.

International job experienceKnowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (for medical device-related machinery), and relevant food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) preferredBasic understanding of mechanical, electromechanical, and automation components used in complex packaging and processing machinery.Familiarity with hygienic design principles (EHEDG, FDA guidelines) for food and pharma equipment.Awareness of material compliance regulations (RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals) and sustainable sourcing practicesStrong experience in cost analysis, price negotiations, and contract management with domestic and international suppliersFluent Vietnamese & English language skills (written and spoken), Chinese language skills (preferred written and spoken)Availability to travel frequently – mainly in Vietnam, China and surrounding countries
