Roles & Responsibilities

Storage and Backup Engineer – Day to day operation involving monitoring, configuring and maintaining storage and backup infrastructures of the organization. To perform regular scheduled and emergency maintenance.

Responsibilities

Configuring and administering Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) storage and associated components, Storage Area Network (SAN) including fibre channel switch administration, data restore and disaster recovery and data backup for clients and servers.Maintaining storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocations and change managementCapacity planning for tape libraries and backup serversPerform routine equipment check, preventative maintenance, storage and backup analysis, capacity planning and performance planning of storage componentsPerform setup procedures to consolidate storage of data from different platforms (i.e. Windows, UNIX and LINUX)Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) for all the critical systems and ensure successful rebuild of Production or DR servers after each DR should the need ariseTroubleshoot to resolve any storage issuesPerform routine equipment check and preventative maintenanceBackup job configuration and schedulingPerform storage and backup analysis, capacity planning and performance planning of storage componentsAs and when there is any change to SOP, to consistently document and update the procedures, policies and other relevant information for operational support on storage and backup environmentParticipate in the design and ongoing refinement of procedures and policiesPrepare reports on storage and backup administration best practices, new technologies, etc. and to recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize storage and backup Additional Locations:  * Singapore - Central Singapore - Singapore * Singapore - Central Singapore - SINGAPORE * Singapore * Singapore - Central Singapore * Singapore - Central Singapore - Singapore , * Singapore - Central Singapore - SINGAPORE
