British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for Purchasing Executive in Sunway Geo, Selangor

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The Purchasing Executive will be responsible in supplier management and executing activities to support the delivery of Cash, Cost, Service, and SNO KPIs for the assigned business units and actively adopt and implement digital transformation initiatives (Integrated Planning Transformation, Hive, P44, Kinaxis, SAP, PBI, and other online tools) for the assigned factory/end market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Responsible for managing and maintaining relationship with SupplierResponsible in monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues or disputesResponsible for executing the firm orders within lead-time for suppliers whilst maintaining target inventory levels and optimal supplier price.Responsible for monitoring, actioning and resolving suppliers’ exceptionsResponsible for aligning purchase orders in the firm zoneResponsible for collaborating with the master planner (or SNP) and suppliers on purchase orders within lead-time.Responsible for monitoring and actioning inventory at risk of obsolesce Responsible to implement the phasing in and out of new/old materials as part of a controlled process (achieving agreed deadlines with minimum cost).Responsible for the purchasing, sourcing and transactional master dataResponsible for sharing forecast with suppliersResponsible for monitor and act upon constraints within suppliers Proactively collaborate with supplier to drive long term process improvementSupport resolution of invoicing issues by working with relevant Finance teamExplore opportunities for improved planning efficiency and placing of materials ordersResponsible for resolving any process /system issues to ensure compliance to business controls.

What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or equivalent1-3 years across Planning, Procurement, NPI (Manufacturing & Commercial experience would be an advantage)Mastery in material knowledge & procurement area and Experience with ERP / Planning systems could be an advantageGood interpersonal and communication skillsGood analytical and digital skillsGood Supply Chain and materials knowledge (process, metrics)Strong knowledge in IWS, CI tools, and agile concept
