Job DescriptionPlanning, estimating, and executing system development work to time, budget and quality targets.Plans and drives system development projects which support the Customer / platform roadmapsSelects and adopts appropriate systems development methods, tools and techniques.Lead systems team’s competency requirements Ensures that stakeholders are aware of required resources and that they are made available.Facilitates availability and optimum utilization of resources.Monitors and reports on the progress of development projects. Ensures projects are carried out in accordance with agreed architectures, standards, methods and tools and addresses security and privacy requirements. Develops road maps to communicate future development activity.

QualificationsExperience in development within the discipline (SYS, ME, E/E-HW or SW) ( 8-10 years)Project management capability and experienceProfessional leadership of cross functional teamsCustomer focused product developmentModeration capability/ negotiation capabilityBES: knowledge in product engineering processes, methods & toolboxes (e.g. certification of Leadership Focus Group)Networking capability e.g. within BBM product developmentCommunicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who share common objectives.Works with software engineering team (System/ functional architects, Technical Architects and Project managers) to meet the goals of the project or the engagement.Work in tandem with project manager to elicit technical and design considerations in overall planningMakes decisions which impact the success of architecture as per defined architecture principles and drive problem solving techniquesApply the knowledge effectively in unfamiliar situations and actively maintains own knowledge and contributes to the development of others.Maintains an awareness of developing practices and their application and takes responsibility for driving own development.Rapidly absorbs new information and applies it effectively.Drives initiatives and shapes communities.
