Position: Substance Use Disorder Clinician   (Co-Occurring Disorder Counselor)  

Hrs. /Week: 40 hours 

Salary: $65k-$70k

FLSA Status:

Department: Behavioral Health and Community Services

Program: CCBHC

Reports to: Clinical Director


General Statement of Duties: Provide individual counseling and case management services as needed, including intake assessments, treatment plans, periodic reviews and aftercare plans.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A


Responsibilities:

1. Leading individual and group counseling sessions with compassion and professionalism

2. Managing patient cases to ensure personalized, high-quality care

3. Collaboratively developing, maintaining, and documenting individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs

4. Conducting initial and ongoing patient assessments

5. Providing patient education relating to the illness of chemical dependence and the process of recovery

6. Work with treatment team on coordinating aftercare plans to support long-term recovery

7. Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor or designee

8. Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Standard/universal precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk


Qualifications:


· Master’s or doctoral degree in behavioral science and license eligible (LICSW or LMHC)

· Current licensure by the state of Massachusetts as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC-I) or license eligible preferred

· Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Education, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitative Counseling or Social Work strongly preferred

· Relevant experience and knowledge in addiction recovery and/or medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

· Must demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity, excellent communication, time-management, organizational and interpersonal skills.


Skills and knowledge required:

• Must demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity, excellent communication, time-management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Must possess group facilitation skills


Travel: Up to 30 percent
